Mountain Escape [and Talie my hero]

We went to visit my aunt and uncle in the woods outside of Crested Butte for a few days to clear our heads at the end of July. It was the perfect peaceful getaway of pampering and bathing in nature. Judy had left me out a book called “Climbing Higher.: Surviving and Thriving after Cancer” by our dear family friend Talie Morrison. I could not put the book down! (Talie is a true fighter and sincere optimist, which is just what I needed in a hero to give me some hope in my most recent moments of anxiety and darkness.) I finished the book over the weekend, and left totally in awe and inspired to kick my cancer’s butt and get back to enjoying life like she did.

So that is where I got the idea for my new approach to this cancer. I decided to follow a book by Durango-based naturopath and author Nasha Winters called, “The Metabollic Approach to Cancer”. I got a great Naturopathic Oncologist in Boulder, coupled with my acupunturist (and a second acupunturist who specializes in cancer), my other amazing bodyworkers (also amazing women with super powers!), and I set off on a new journey to kick my cancer’s butt.
